Abstract:
The Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics founded in 1958 was a pioneer of the electron-positron colliders. From that time experiments at e.e. colliders on particle physics is one of the most important field of the BINP researches. At present two colliders are in operation at the Institute: VEPP-2000 and VEPP-4. New collider, Charm-Tau factory is under development now at BINP. In this talk the present experiments at BINP colliders as well as C-Tau factory project will be reviewed.
CV:
Prof. Boris Schwartz graduated from Physical faculty of the Novosibirk State University in 1973 and started my work in the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics of SB RAS as. From that time and up to now he is an employee of this Institute. All this time his work is devoted to the experimental study of the hadron production in electron-positron annihilations and rare decays of mesons. Another part of his work is a R&D for the detectors for particle physics. In this part he worked mostly with organic and inorganic scintillation detectors both for energy and time measurement and developed the calorimeters for particle physics experiments. During his work at BINP he participated in several long-term experiments at electron-positron colliders at BINP and abroad. At present he is involved in two experiments (CMD-3 and KEDR) at BINP and in the internationsl collaborations Belle II and muon (g-2)/EDM (KEK, Japan). |
