摘要:
The Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is a machine which was designed to unlock the secrets of the internal structure of proton and nuclei. However, the high polarization of incoming beams and the high integrated luminosity of this machine also offer an opportunity to test the electroweak  properties of the SM as well as the BSM effects. In this talk, I will discuss the recent developments of probing the SM and BSM effects at the future EIC, e.g. the weak mixing angle, Zbb anomalous coupling, SMEFT effects, dark photon and so on. We also demonstrated that some limits for the BSM effects from EIC could be comparable or better than the LHC, although the collider energy of the EIC is much smaller than the LHC.

 

报告人简介:
岩斌,2017年博士毕业于北京大学;2017-2019在美国密歇根州立大学,2019-2022在美国洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室做博士后;2022年回国加入中国科学院高能物理研究所任副研究员。研究兴趣包括:标准模型有效场论、顶夸克、希格斯物理以及对撞机物理唯象学等。
