报告介绍: | 摘要: Measurement of the Higgs boson coupling to the charm quark provides a crucial test of the fermion mass generation mechanism in the Standard Model. This talk presents the latest CMS search for the Higgs boson decaying to a pair of charm quarks using the full Run 2 data set. Novel concepts in charm jet reconstruction, identification and calibration, and search design have been developed for this search, leading to the most stringent constraint on the Higgs-charm coupling to date. The search is validated by measuring the Z boson decay to charm quarks and yields the first observation of this process at a hadron collider. Prospects at the future HL-LHC and further improvements on the deep learning techniques that empowered this search will also be discussed.
报告人简介: 曲慧麟,2014年本科毕业于北京大学,2019年于加州大学圣塔芭芭拉分校获得博士学位,现为欧洲核子研究中心博士后。长期致力于大型强子对撞机上希格斯玻色子性质测量与新物理寻找,在希格斯玻色子与第二代费米子耦合、双希格斯玻色子产生、超对称粒子寻找等方面发挥重要作用。现任CMS合作组双玻色子共振态物理分析组召集人。此外,提出了ParticleNet等一系列新型深度学习算法,大幅提升喷注鉴别灵敏度,被CMS合作组采纳并广泛应用。同时,还积极参与了CMS Phase2高粒度量能器的升级工作。 |
