The Super Tau Charm Facility (STCF) is a scientific project proposed for high energy physics frontier in China. It is a symmetry electron-positron beam collider designed to provide e+e- interactions at a center-of-mass (c.m.) energy from 2 to 7 GeV. The peaking luminosity is expected to be 0.5-10^35cm-2s-1 at 4 GeV. It is designed to survey the broad physics at $\tau$-charm energy region where both perturbative QCD and nonperturbative QCD effects can be probed, including physics with tau lepton and charm quark, precision test of SM and searching for exotic hadrons and new physics beyond SM.
Recently, a fast simulation tool dedicated to the STCF detector has been developed. Therefore, more benchmark physical processes with fast simulation tool for STCF will be performed to optimize the detector design and explore the physical potential.
The workshop on physics at STCF will be held on March 23-24 2019 at UCAS, Yuqian Road Campus, Beijing, China. The purpose of the workshop is to gather the physics community interested or already engaged in similar projects to review the physics in the tau-charm energy sector,to ascertain the discovery potential at the high intensity frontier.
